Dear Lisa, as I was editing my life story in the time period of 1967, I came across this:
While living in the place next to the Memorial Park and doing advanced studies at the BYU, our third child was born. Marjorie had finally decided to use a local doctor so our Elisabeth was born in Provo on the 27th of January 1967. At the time I described her in these terms: “Our little “Lisa” is a beautiful baby with golden brown hair, wavy, even curly in spots. She has blue eyes, her mother's dimples, a pixie chin and cute little nose.” Later in the year, as she continued to grow and mature, I had this to say about her: “She is very alert, always notices things, smiles a charmer's smile and laughs outloud when encouraged. She's a good baby of even temperament and very content unless distressed. She has a quiet dignity and certain reserve about her which justifies the formal name we have given her.”
I thought you might not have read that far and seen these quotes from my journal. Love, Dad
PS: look for a card in the mail in a few days (hopefully).
