Below you see Opa Holler holding my three boys (his 3 grandsons) on our dining room couch at our home. Austin shows off some ski gloves...Jordan some ski goggles, and baby Jacob is smiling. (It looks like they may have been getting ready to go play out in the snow in our yard.)
Also, on this front page, you see that my sister Melissa Charters, had sent me a cute picture of her second child (and first son) Tyler. My boys cousin.
Below that, you see that I took Austin to the Orem/Provo University Mall (1 1/2 hours up North from Manti) to get some professional photos taken. They had a flag background and I had decided that this would make an awesome 'birthday' photo for him that year. He sure did some fantastic poses for the camera. Such a cute boy! I have lots of the original ones here at home.
side note ~ (I remember, while at the Mall that day, Austin had run off down the hall way and I couldn't find him for about 10 mins and I about had a Heart Attack!! I panicked like never before and was so distraught! I searched frantically like a crazy lady! lol However, soon I found him again and I was super relieved! I was and had always been a very attentive, protective and super careful and awesome mom.....so things like this sent me through the roof! Of course I was not too over protective because I did have a sense of patience (growing up in a large family) and calmness about me. Regardless, it is a wonder I am 'alive or sanely functioning' today with how my children's father hid them from me for years....I cried horribly each and everyday for years until I finally heard where they were AND started to find other ways to find them, contact them and know of their safety. Sad but true. )
My dad lived close to Provo (where I grew up) with his new wife (Diana) in a small town called Pleasant Grove. It was Easter and he had invited me and my siblings, with our families, to come over for an Easter dinner and gathering. So we dressed up and drove North for a fun Sunday with family.
The first pic is of baby Elizabeth Philpot, my children's cousin, and my niece. (My sister Michelle and Corey's first baby) Then, you see one of Grandpa Hatch (my dad) with me in the yellow dress and baby Jacob sitting on Grandpa's lap out in his back yard. The small children gathered Easter Eggs that Diana had hid all around the yard. You can see the back of Diana (in the dark pink dress) in one of the bottom photos.
Then, the last one is of our precious baby Christian Jacob at 10 months old...being so cute on his rocking toy. I would often find him crawling around the house, looking for Bernd's tool box so he could play with daddy's big boy toys!
