"William Bradford (c.1590–1657) was an English Separatist leader in Leiden, Holland, and in Plymouth Colony. He was a signatory to the Mayflower Compact, an important historical document, while aboard the Mayflower in 1620. He served as Plymouth Colony Governor five times covering about thirty years between 1621 and 1657. His journal, Of Plymouth Plantation, covered the period from 1620 to 1657 in Plymouth Colony."
... but to me he is just one of my awesome Great-Grandfathers, whom I am very proud of.
A great example of Gratitude, Courage, Perseverance and God-fearing Love who showed this Gratitude by encouraging others to celebrate their blessings, from God, on a Special Day that now our whole nation celebrates as...
As I reflect on this wonderful opportunity, "Holiday" (Holy Day) to be thankful for all I have, I love to make and send out these wonderful little homemade Thanksgiving greeting cards you see above.
I recently sent this one to my sweet Mother-In-Law, Maria Rosa and family members.
I would have loved to send one out to my sons and to their companions, whom I love dearly, however, they still have much ingratitude for me, their mother, and will not give me their addresses, or whereabouts, and/or are sadly still under threat by my ex to have no contact with me.
However, that does not stop me from continuing to Pray for them and their loved ones, for their success and happiness...and that they will respectfully reach out to their younger brother Alex and I someday soon, but more importantly that Love and Forgiveness will enter their hearts, and minds, for their own success, peace and happiness. ♥
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
may you enjoy your families and reflections of this special day and it's meaning.... (what are you Thankful for?)
DON'T let his happen to YOU.
If you ever feel this way...find your way home.
Parasites are not 'that bad'.
They are a necessary part of life.
Like bacteria, viruses, fungus's ....these little guys are what 'break down' matter into dust and help keep our world from being 'totally cluttered'. They take what is NOT strong and literally 'break it down' so that life can continue to start again. Start Fresh!
They are what some call 'a necessary evil'.
Lately I have been running into some GREAT articles on a "Healthy Gut".
For example....here's one you can read later....
How to Heal Your Gut and Heal Yourself
OK, Parasites are common. Only recently in society have people forgotten that in centuries past, families did parasite cleanses every year to stay healthy and parasite free.
When my kids lived with me....I tried different remedies to keep our young family healthy and parasite free. (they may not remember)
One of my FAVORITE books on this is called
"The Cure for All Diseases: With Many Case Histories" Paperback – Illustrated, January 1, 1995

Here is a good article below on parasites:
"Having a parasite can be a scary thought, but you're not alone; parasites are far more common than you think. It’s a myth that parasites only exist in underdeveloped countries. In fact, the majority of the patients I see in my clinic have a parasite. As you will see, parasites can causing a myriad of symptoms, only a few of which are actually digestive in nature.
What is a parasite?
A parasite is any organism that lives and feeds off of another organism. When I refer to intestinal parasites, I’m referring to tiny organisms, usually worms, that feed off of your nutrition.
Some examples of parasites include roundworms, tapeworms, pinworms, whipworms, hookworms, and more. Because parasites come in so many different shapes and sizes, they can cause a very wide range of problems. Some consume your food, leaving you hungry after every meal and unable to gain weight.
Others feed off of your red blood cells, causing anemia. Some lay eggs that can cause itching, irritability, and even insomnia. If you have tried countless approaches to heal your gut and relieve your symptoms without any success, a parasite could be the underlying cause for many of your unexplained and unresolved symptoms.
How do you get parasites?
There are a number of ways to contract a parasite. First, parasites can enter your body through contaminated food and water. Undercooked meat is a common place for parasites to hide, as well as contaminated water from underdeveloped countries, lakes, ponds, or creeks. However, meat is the not the only culprit. Unclean or contaminated fruits and vegetables can also harbor parasites. Some parasites can even enter the body by traveling through the bottom of your foot.
Once a person is infected with a parasite, it's very easy to pass it along. If you have a parasite and don't wash your hands after using the restroom, you can easily pass microscopic parasite eggs onto anything you touch — the door handle, the salt shaker, your phone, or anyone you touch. It's also very easy to contract a parasite when handling animals. Hand washing is a major opportunity to prevent parasite contamination and transmission. Traveling overseas is another way that foreign parasites can be introduced to your system. If you consumed any contaminated water during your travels, you may have acquired a parasite of some kind.
10 Signs You May Have a Parasite
How to Test for Parasites
The best way to test for a parasite is to get a stool test. Most doctors will run a conventional stool test if they suspect a parasite, however these are not as accurate as the comprehensive stool tests that we use in functional medicine.
Conventional Ova and Parasite Stool Test
Conventional stool tests can identify parasites or parasite eggs in your stool, yet this test comes with many limitations. The problem with this test is that it is only conditionally successful. This test requires three separate stool samples that must be sent to the lab for a pathologist to view under a microscope. Parasites have a very unique life cycle that allows them to rotate between dormant and alive. In order to identify them in this conventional test, the stool sample must contain a live parasite, the parasite must remain alive as the sample ships to the lab, and the pathologist must be able to see the live parasite swimming across the slide. While these can certainly be useful tests for some people, they are unable to identify dormant parasites, and therefore I often see a high number of false negatives with this type of stool test.
Functional Medicine Comprehensive Stool Test
In my practice, I use a comprehensive stool test on all of my patients. The comprehensive test is much more sensitive than the conventional stool test because it uses Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technology to amplify the DNA of the parasite if there is one. This means that the parasite can actually be dead or in its dormant phase and it will be detected on this test. Because this test utilizes PCR technology, it isn't reliant on a pathologist seeing a live parasite swimming on the slide. I frequently diagnose parasites in my patients that were missed on conventional stool tests.
How to Treat Parasites
The comprehensive stool test is able to identify 17 different parasites, so when I know which parasite my patient has, I use prescription medications that target specific species of parasites. If, however, the parasite cannot be identified, I usually use a blend of herbs, including magnesium caprylate, berberine, and extracts from tribulus, sweet wormwood, grapefruit , barberry, bearberry, and black walnut. You can typically find an herbal combination at a compounding pharmacy or though my website. In general, these herbal formulas provide a broad spectrum of activity against the most common pathogens present in the human GI tract, while sparing the beneficial gut bacteria.
Before starting an anti-parasite herbal supplement, I recommend you consult your physician and have your liver enzymes checked if you have a history of liver disease, heavy alcohol use or previous history of elevated liver enzymes.
If you think you might have a parasite, I encourage you find a functional medicine physician in your area so that they can order a comprehensive stool test for you.
My motto is, It all starts in your gut and your gut is the gateway to health.
A healthy gut makes a healthy person."
I hope you enjoyed this article as much as I did.
MY FAVORITE (safe and powerful) herbs to cleanse ALL adult parasites, their eggs, and the larva stages are....
3 powerful, yet simple, Herbs:
1. fresh powdered Cloves in capsules,
2. Green Black Walnut Hull tincture in a bottle (drops), and
3. Wormwood (powdered into capsules)
I've heard (and used) that THESE are the 3 (three) MOST powerful parasite killing herbs...and they are safe to use in appropriate doses....
and I actually have used these for years. They WORK!
p.s. If you suspect that you have 'pin worms' (itchy butt) just take a mirror and either check for yourself when you feel the itch....or have someone at home do it for you. If you see tiny white worms, no need for an expensive test, just ask your doctor for a dose of Albenza. This 2-step pill works fast and effectively for eradicating pinworms if you don't want to take the Herbs.
Also, be sure to use some triple-antibiotic cream around your butt. Like the article below says, these bad boys lay their eggs around the outside of your anus. Use a Q-tip with this ointment on a tip and spread it around the outside where these worms would normally lay their eggs and they won't have a chance. Here's to good health!

OK, That's it for now...
BE WELL ~ BE HAPPY ♥
Add all ingredients (except for chocolate chips) to a good food processor, and process until very smooth. Then mix in the chocolate chips. (Some commenters have had success with a blender, but I did not. Try that at your own risk, and know the results will be better in a high-quality food processor such as a Cuisinart.)
If made correctly and blended long enough, this should have the exact texture of real cookie dough!
Sweetener Notes: I used 2/3 cup brown sugar when I first made this for the party. Liquid sweeteners (agave, maple, etc.) are fine as well, as is evaporated cane juice. You can get away with less sugar-- some people will be perfectly fine with just 3 tbsp for the whole recipe!
To make baked cookies from this amazing dough:
Just roll some 1-2 inch balls of this dough on a cookie sheet (I love to use some foil on a small toaster oven sheet and bake these a simple way.)
Pop them in an oven at 375 degrees for 10-12 mins (or until slightly brown)
These are AMAZING!!!!
Grammy, my mom, is hanging in there these days.
Her 2 strokes have taken a toll on her, but she is and has always been good, happy and strong.
She is a great example of a persevering, GOOD and a decent woman all my life...however I should mention that I feel most of her loyalty was to the LDS Church organization and its leaders verses a personal relationship with God... and in 'my opinion' went a bit overboard in her life... if you were to ask me. Of course only God knows her heart and this is only my limited observation of her through my limited interaction with her over my short life.
Otherwise I do appreciated her great faith, her clean life, and her exceptional example in my own life.
Remember my Children.....Christ taught, The 'Church' is within. God is within.
The well organized, and powerful LDS Church is a great place and vehicle to find ways and avenues to serve others in amazing ways that you will NOT find anywhere else in the world. You will find others there that carry the powerful priesthood power to act in the name of God which you will NOT find anywhere else....however, TRUE revelation between you and God will come directly to YOU from within!
Follow your Heart and Soul and you will be more able to serve God and have a personal relationship with him in your life.
Regardless, of my opinions here, I am VERY thankful for a wonderful, wonderful mother...despite our differences.
Happy Birthday, Mother Dear!
(Here is a picture of her out to birthday lunch with my two Arizona sisters)

Why Use Natural Deodorant?
After a few weeks of using natural, I noticed an unexpected side effect… I wasn’t sweating as much to begin with. Months later, and I notice this even more!
I urge you to try making your own deodorant. Even if you aren’t daunted by the ingredients in your own deo, wouldn’t you feel better knowing you weren’t putting anything on your skin that you couldn’t eat (not that you would want to eat shea butter!)
If you do try it, let me know the outcome!

"Welcome" my New baby Half-Sister Charlotte Hatch!
What an awkward, yet pleasant, surprise in my life.
I have a new half-sister!
Yup, I used to have only 3 sisters (Melissa, Susanne and Michelle) and now I have a 4th?
At first I didn't know what to think....but now, I am starting to think.... "Simply Amazing".
I know, I know, my Dad is a healthy 81 years old..."how can this be?"
Apparently my dad's new filipino wife became pregnant last year and this past October, this new addition to the Hatch family was born over in the Philippines.
My dad is trying to get his wife and the baby over to America soon, so until then, we only get photos of their baby online.
My dad, (Gramps) (ya the one that JUST had heart surgery) will be going back over to the Philippines as soon as he is healthy enough to do so, to go see his new daughter.
What a shocker!!
Regardless of my personal opinions of the 'rights or wrongs' and all the gossip that goes along with this scenario.... I am happy for my dad, who seems to be so very happy and proud with having a 'new daughter', and I am happy for his wife and our new adorable little addition!
So UMMMMM, yes my sons....you have A NEW AUNT.
Say "Hello" to my new half-sister and your NEW AUNT..... CHARLOTTE ♥
