We, as a State, hosted these Celebrations at our State Parks throughout the entire State of Utah!
The Fremont Indian State Park invited dozens of Legions and Posts to attend our 'free' celebration of Speeches, Certificates of Thanks from our Governor, along with a free ATV Tour of our Park and free breakfast.
It was a wonderful day, starting out with the singing of our anthem, raising of the flag and gun salutes! We then passed out the Certificates of Thanks from the Governor of Utah to all those who attended. As you can see, here I am with the Manager of our Park, passing these honors out to these amazing men.
I, as my retired Air Force Colonel father's daughter, was able to accept his Certificate that day, since my father was in the hospital recovering from back surgery and could not attend. You can't see in the pictures, but there were dozens of others standing in the parking lot, and there was a pretty large crowd at our Park, that day.
We then served a fantastic breakfast to all in attendance. Rudy was there and took a few pictures of me presenting the Certificates to those that were Honored that day.
Then, there was a Captain that gave a lecture in our Gallery that day, and then the ATV Tour was given. Rudy was able to go on the tour and he loved it. My co-worker, the Archaeologist and Curator of our Museum, did this tour for everyone. For Lunch, we served loaded Hamburgers and HotDogs, with lots of sides!
It was a lovely day, and everyone had such a GREAT time. I got to meet a lot of amazing people with incredible stories!

(To even top off this special day, I get paid to do all this fun....simply amazing!)
