Here, you see a photo of Andrew at 6 years old (first grade) when he was only in elementary school! He had made a model of a village. See the houses and cars? His teacher told me that it was excellent workmanship for his age and she said that he received an 'A' on it!
(No wonder he is learning more Engineer at the wonderful University of Illinois today.)
*Just like his Mama, he loves to 'Create' or 'Make'.
I too like (and actually LOVE) making computer images, art, pop-up cards, models, drafting, engineering and anything crafty when I can and am able. (which is not often these days with my back pain)
side note; When I was in High School, taking the SAT's or ACT (I don't remember which one) and I had to repack or unpack Polyhedron's ( these unpacking of Polyhedras are called Nets. Nets of polyhedra are just 2D objects that wrap around 3D objects)
I had to Identify the net that corresponded to the figure. I noticed that I scored in the top 5% of the Nation for accuracy. (Compared to other High School students my same age taking this same test.) I was pretty excited to learn this.
Appears this creativity/mathematics/making must run in the family ♥
Great job Andrew Sterling!
